Our Pacific Islander Covid 19 Community Response work is supporting our Pacific Islander communities in King, Pierce, Thurston, Snohomish, Spokane County and Washington State as a whole to stand up our defense against Covid 19 along with other health and socio-economic vulnerabilities that are killing our community. Your donation will go far to help us with our community advocacy work. Along with providing PPE supplies, weekly food distribution, we also provide leadership in co-designing interventions with systems partners such as public health and other state, county & city agencies that impact local policy to center our community voices and power.
The Pacific Islander Community Association is also seeking your financial partnership for us to accomplish some major feats in our workplan for 2021. We are hoping to stand up an annual Pasifika Summit that will help our Pasifika/NHPI community identify our priorities and elevate these with our representatives and senators in the State of Washington. We also would love to offer a leadership development opportunity for young people in understanding their power as agents of change. Help us fund our annual Pasifika Freedom School. Also, on our books are workshops to support our community navigate various systems through KNOW YOUR RIGHTS workshops. Finally, we would like to have the opportunity to gift 5 Pasifika scholarships to change leaders in our communities. We seek your partnership!
