Our mission is to establish a cultural home, center community power, and advocate to the further the wellness of Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (NH/PI) communities in Washington.
We envision Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (NH/PI) communities thriving physically, culturally, socially, and spiritually.
Sacred Relations
Samoan
We are committed to establishing deep and accountable communities through building strong networks and coalitions between our Melanesian, Micronesian and Polynesian communities in uniting our political voice.
Power
Polynesian
We acknowledge the spiritual and cultural power of Pasifika communities to determine their social and political futures in advancing justice locally, nationally and globally.
Horizon Gazing
Fijian
A key value of Navigators is to always gaze at the horizon to dream of what our liberated futures can be for our Pasifika descendants. Our homes are not just in the here and now, but we work to usher in a future that is humane for those yet to come.
Inclusive Collective
Maori
We are an expansive body and we welcome all members of our community which includes our queer & trans siblings. We are an intergenerational community that celebrates our elders and hold the highest value for our children.
Hospitality
Chuukese
We offer sacred hospitality – hospitality to the stranger, hospitality to the visitor, to our neighbor and the daily hospitality afforded our sacred treasures, our Pasifika elders in our community. We foster an environment where our Pasifika communities feel the love, dignity and safety in our spaces.
Liberation
Marshallese
Our ultimate goal for our labor of love is liberation for Pasifika peoples – liberation from oppression, liberation from colonization, liberation from nuclear poison, liberation from cultural and religious persecution where Pasifika peoples are able to perpetuate our Oceanian traditions.
